The magnets used in the SprkCharger products are N52 Neodymium rare earth magnets. N52 grade are considered the strongest and most expensive magnets commercially available. They were chosen to ensure strong high quality electrical and mechanical connections on the products.

The connector to cable connection provides a strong connection while allowing more than 180 degree rotation. The connection is strong enough to carefully lift the weight of a phone yet will break away if the cord is unintentionally pulled preventing damage to the phone. A high-quality gold spring connector completes the circuit in the center of the connectors.
